Admiral Sporting Goods Co. X 6876

In 1995, 6876’s Kenneth Mackenzie released a jacket that would go on to define his career. By focusing on product and craftsmanship, not fashion, he’s stayed focused on one thing: making things proper. Now, Mackenzie is linking up with century-old sportswear brand Admiral Sporting Goods Co, co-releasing a range of premium menswear garms, including the Fairham jacket — a first for ASGco., who’s never release a jacket before. As sports enthusiasts, of course they were going to team up with an MVP to make their very first one.

Crafted from water-repellant and breathable gabardine and featuring a detachable hood, the two-in-one jacket can be worn as a short raincoat or as a car coat for an alternate styling — making it a real, legit outerwear piece for all weathers.

“A collaboration for 6876 first and foremost has to involve a like minded aesthetic view point and integrity of product. With Admiral Sporting Goods we found these principles deeply rooted in the historical and contemporary aspects of the brand. Secondarily, there has to be a mutual trust and respect between the two collaborators which we’ve managed to develop over the period of working together,” Kenneth Mackenzie commented.

“It is often forgotten that producing clothing is both an art form and a science. This is made clear when you take garments that are over 80 years old and adapt them for modern manufacturing and consumer tastes. 6876 have been doing this for over 20 years and with our mutual love of sport and military history this collaboration was a match made in cotton,” Admiral Sporting Goods Co.’s Jonathan Hamburger said.

While most of the collection is now being sold on admiralsportinggoods.com, the Fairham jacket is available for pre-order and set to be released later this month /
