ENGINEERED GARMENTS X BARBOUR FW21
Engineered Garments and Barbour are two brands built on heritage, history and true craftsmanship. Founded under the Nepenthes umbrella in 2002, EG has been led under the creative mind of Daiki Suzuki and has quickly taken the reworked military market by storm. Nearly a hundred years prior to that, Barbour was established by its namesake founder John Barbour and has since then become infamous for its waxed cotton outerwear.
For Autumn/Winter 2021, the two brands collaborate yet again, fusing both traditional Americana styles with British heritage aesthetics.
For this collaboration, Engineered Garments’ designer Daiki Suzuki combed through the Barbour archives, putting his signature touch on classic items - creating the single-breasted Loitery Quilt and the hooded Jankees Quilt. Featuring asymmetrical pockets and tab collar closure, the EG sensibility on these items is unmistakable, while still retaining classic Barbour elements such as the corduroy collar, kick pleats, and standard 2” diamond quilting.
The collection also features the Shallow Shawl Quilt and Pop Quilted Vest, which are pure Engineered Garments mainline designs, simply manufactured in Barbour quilted material.
The capsule is available on both the Nepenthes website and their in-store locations.
