SILLAGE: FW21 COLLECTION
Curated and creatively led by Nicolas Chalmeau, also known under his alias Yuthanan, the Japanese based brand Sillage has been creating quite the noise in recent months. Ranging from curated capsules to full-fledged collections, Sillage playfully fuses traditional french aesthetics with contemporary Japanese cuts and shapes.
Following up on their spring collection celebrating Muay Thai culture, the label now officially released its French Military themed Fall/Winter 2021 series.
The collection is presented with the brand’s usual loose tailoring and utilizes selected eco-friendly Japanese fabrics and materials. In addition to Sillage’s classic charbon grey colour palette, this series also integrates Bordeaux red and blue as prime colours allowing for a range of new looks. The Fall/Winter 2021 collection includes berets, fatigue pants, raglan-sleeve blouson jackets, hooded popover capes and indigo striped shirts all paying homage to the French military and the cultural backgrounds of their members.
With their latest collection, Sillage unveils a new level of functionality within their garments, integrating subtle carrying straps, hidden pockets, and other contraptions.
