VAULT BY VANS X THE TRILOGY TAPES
To anyone looking for some good old internet gems, The Trilogy Tapes is a fine place to start. Indeed since the golden age of blogging circa 2008, Palace graphic designer Will Bankhead’s platform has steadily posted curated material that spans from rarely-heard music clips and NTS sessions to record sleeve designs and pretty much anything else Bankhead feels like sharing, whether that be skate tapes or the occasional step-by-step tutorial of some banging recipes like a curry or something. While TTT started as a blog it developed into an influential London music label at the centre of the underground scene, and then evolved into an apparel brand. Hence, with a foot in the fashion world, it just landed a collaboration with Vault by Vans.
Just as it does with its own online archive, the London label has put the spotlight on a classic: the OG Chukka LX has been revamped and now comes in pig suede in either all-black-everything or a mix of black and grape leaf-green. Both silhouettes are tagged with TTT logos through the midsole to the heel. That way, one can then let others know about their eclectic taste in music but still in a low-key fashion.
