ARCHIVAL REINVENT: DATA_INDUX A01

Set to diligently build an archive of its complete body of work, Archival Reinvent’s new diffusion line, dubbed ‘Data_Indux System’, will gather the just recently released brand’s every single collection moving forward, starting with A01. Much like with its earlier drops, with this one, the Hong Kong-based collective is designing tomorrow’s city uniform.

Themes of functionality and utility return this season, with models from prior seasons returning with slight tweaks that widen the ARC wardrobe. The Suit Jacket 01 and Vest 01, for one thing, have undergone significant refinement in terms of patterning and details: whereas the Suit Jacket now sports modular sleeves and numerous pockets, the Vest follows similar cues with a variety of easy-to-access compartments and points of adjustment.

A large proportion of the collection, from jackets and vests to womenswear and caps, is made using Teflon®—an invisible fabric technology that repels both water and dirt without compromising on the overall finish of the garment. Surely these high-tech features will be greatly appreciated if while venturing out on the town the weather ends up shifting, or, as the lookbook suggests, if something dystopian was to happen /
