Bo Ningen embody the art - music crossover we see today. Their fierce image matched with their disparate sound creates a show not to be missed. Backed up with the support of names such as Primal Scream, Kasabian and Savages to name a few. They are seasoned veterans in the overseas festival circuit, performing at the likes of Coachella and Glastonbury. With a new release on the way with Bobby Gillespie TNO set out to ask their five things…
TNO: What was the moment that changed your world?
There are a few moments have changed my world. I guess the biggest one was when I first heard my mum singing, maybe when i was 2 or 3. The first conscious contact ever with music. (Yuki)
TNO: Where in the world is your physical and spiritual home?
My physical home is London, and my spiritual home is always Kobe, Japan where I am from. (Yuki)
TNO: What does the world need now?
Simply, to be nice to the people around you as much as you can. Your behaviour will affect a person then the person conveys the sense to the other like a ripple. We need a vibration if it's tiny. The world nowadays stands still by unpredictable fear and needs to start oscillating between us. Any discrimination, monopoly or anxiety hinders the vibration of life. We all share this world and we all are composed of the same elementary particles. Probably we could share many things more than before if we take care of others. It's just to think about the people who you love while you listen to your favourite music in your daily life. (Mon Chan)
TNO: Who and what rocks your world?
Pro-wrestling opened up my mind to the world before I became a musician, Sauna would be more recent and my lifetime energy source and inspiration. If I have to choose one person, I would choose Steve Reich as my all-time hero. (Taigen)
TNO: How do you use the world to inspire your creative process?
Maybe it is the other way, the world uses me (us) for creation. I am like a medium. Hearing the voice and translate. In my own way. Diverge, converge, cut, paste, morph, shuffle, accept, design, confuse ‘the world’ and present an alternative version of it. (Kohhei)
