KEEN X GARBSTORE

Summer’s nearly here and tastemaking destination Garbstore isn’t missing out on that surge of, yes, heading out in socks and sandals. In its tonic playfulness the store’s editorial stars a range of KEEN’s sandals, including a model that hasn’t been around for awhile, the Yogui clog /

First launched in 2004 just a year after KEEN was established, the Yogui clog was introduced as an extension from the brand’s mainline and, goodness knows why, was out of the range in the UK and Europe for quite some years. In Japan, though, the model remained pretty popular for, perhaps, the menswear scene there has long had an interest in the outdoors.

Now, though, they’ve become available elsewhere and so have just hit the West End boutique’s shelves in a wild assortment of colours and patterns: there’s a psychedelic tie-dye print (just in time for the soon-to-be lifted lockdown restrictions and the very possibility of encountering a Summer of Love 2.0), a modest charcoal grey, and a safe, go-to option, the forest camo. And in addition to that, it’s said that the textured footbed lightly massages tired feet, to which one can only reply: say no more.

Also featured in Garbstore’s editorial: the now staple UNEEK sandals which were just recently made in collaboration with like-minded shops BEAMS and United Arrows; a once again comfy pair of trainers, the Jasper in an ochre and safety orange colourway; and the Newport sandals that, too, have been given a tie-dye design.

Priced at a mere £50 the Yogui clog and other KEEN silhouettes are now available to cope on Garbstore’s website.
