MERRELL 1TRL: TOO GOOD TO GET WET
Anything Merrell puts out there is disposed to get the stamp of approval from outdoor enthusiasts and even those who aren’t, actually. The label thinks things through, creating hi-tech products designed to help us busy bees face whatever a day out and about may throw our way. The Hydro Moc is no different: it’s a simple looking, yet quite wild sandal with a contoured arch that will stay glued to the feet when rushing around, that will also dry in a minute if one had the misfortune to step into a puddle. And perhaps unintentionally, it’s now got the attention of the streetwear crowd /
In a collection aptly titled “Too Good To Get Wet”, the latest take on the Hydro Moc brings a soothing pastel palette to the forefront: the sought-after sandals are now available is anise, lilac, mint and peach, all while keeping its distinctive marbled aesthetic reminiscent of the perpetual flow of water.
What’s more, a newcomer is being introduced this time around: the Hydro Slide, which is just as manic design-wise but revamped into a slip-on sandal.
Providing the same lightweight, quick-drying attributes, both models were shot, for the sake of legitimacy, in one of the wettest places in the northern hemisphere, the Lake District in the UK.
