Manoeuvring in between the borders of music, fashion and culture, Nicholas Daley has been pushing the envelope with his eponymous brand since graduating from Central Saint Martin in 2013, pulling influences from his multicultural background and musical upbringing.

With a huge emphasis on craftsmanship and quality, Nicholas Daley’s collections are solely produced within the UK, working closely with local manufactures and suppliers.

For the third quarter of 2021, Nicholas taps Fred Perry, co-designing and producing a collection revolving around iconic reggae legend Peter Tosh and his synergy between music and martial arts during the 1970s. Tosh was a Jamaican reggae musician and core member of “the Wailers” with a strong affection for karate, often wearing his martial arts suit on stage and known for his revolutionary thinking and actions.

“I feel there’s a good connection between both my brand and Fred Perry which ties in the ethos between celebrating different cultures and music. That’s why I’ve produced the collection together with Fred Perry, as I feel we are aligned with our beliefs and brands: both being British fashion labels with a strong ethos on British subculture.” Nicholas Daley

The collection, releasing on the 15th of July 2021, will include two polo-shirts, a collage jacket and a heavyweight parka. To coincide with the launch, Fred Perry launches the FP X Nicholas Daley music grant, offering one artist or band a recording masterclass at Metropolis Studios.
