ON & POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF)
Swiss sportswear brand On, founded in Zurich by David Allemann, Olivier Bernhard, and Caspar Coppetti, together with On Japan Co., Ltd., unveils Current Form 5.0, the final chapter of its six-season collaboration with Korean avant-garde label POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF). The collection launches September 3, 2026, at the On Flagship Store Tokyo Ginza, On Store Tokyo Cat Street, on.com, postarchivefaction.com, and select retailers.
At the heart of Current Form 5.0 is the Cloudsoma PAF, a silhouette born from the shared design language of On and PAF. Drawing inspiration from “the raw beauty of the mountains,” where rock, shadow, and movement converge, the shoe explores the tension and harmony between opposing forces: ruggedness and fluidity, stillness and speed, permanence and transformation.
Designed to heighten the senses while running, the upper combines highly abrasion-resistant, quick-drying materials with a series of details informed by organic movement. Streamlined contours, an asymmetrical lacing system, and fluid graphic patterns echo the rhythms of the natural world, giving the shoe a sense of constant motion even at rest.
The Cloudsoma PAF arrives in three colorways — Cobble | Raven, Black | Black, and Haze | Linen — each reflecting the collection’s dialogue between earth and movement. More than a technical running shoe, it embodies a shared reverence for the landscape and a belief in movement without constraint.
For the campaign, On and PAF turn the conclusion of their partnership into something more enduring than a farewell. In collaboration with internationally acclaimed land artist Strijdom van der Merwe, the brands created a circular stone installation across the volcanic landscape of Tenerife, Spain. Titled A Monument to Movement, the work will remain as a permanent trail loop for runners — a physical legacy of the collaboration and a lasting metaphor for the creative possibilities that lie ahead.
The project is also captured in a three-part short documentary, tracing both the making of the monument and the evolution of On × PAF across six seasons. Moving fluidly between past, present, and future, the film follows PAF co-founder and creative director Dongjoon Lim as he revisits the collaboration’s archive, arranging pieces in a circular formation. It then shifts to Tenerife, where van der Merwe shapes the landscape into a trail loop, before culminating in athletes running through the completed installation.
In Current Form 5.0, the end of a collaboration becomes a beginning — a lasting expression of movement, creativity, and the dialogue between design and the natural world.
