With the immense growth of the fashion industry in recent years came along a reoccurring debate on sustainability and environmental awareness. Occupying around 10% of the global carbon emission each year, several brands and labels steered their company towards a more eco-friendly approach when it comes to production, distribution and sales. One of these brands is RÆBURN and their sub-label RÆFOUND.

RÆFOUND presents an evolving non-seasonal range of original, unworn and repurposed military apparel and accessories personally sourced by RÆBURN’s founder and namesake Christopher Raeburn.

What began as a provocation to the mounting inventory crisis and as an idea to drive the company towards sustainability and a more eco-friendly approach, returns as a selection of Airman Battle Uniforms (ABU) and Army Combat Uniforms (ACU), belonging to the original US Military’s GEN III. Decommissioned as recently as April 2021, millions of pieces have become obsolete, despite their inherent functionality. From All-Weather Parkas, Thermally Insulated Trousers, to Crossbody Bags and Boonie Hats, every item has been wear-tested and quality-checked at the RÆBURN Lab.

Highlight pieces feature the revolutionary ‘modular lightweight load-carrying equipment (MOLLE) system. Defined by its infinite customisation possibilities, MOLLE uses webbed grids for multifunctional layering abilities.

Aside from added branding as a simple badge of authenticity, each piece within the RÆFOUND collection remains in its original form, an acknowledgement of its value and utility for the future.

Launching direct to consumer on Wednesday 11th August 2021. Available exclusively on raeburndesign.co.uk, on the RÆBURN App and at the RÆBURN Lab store.
